Effective 15 February, 2012, we will include troops NOT assigned to war zones.
ALL else remains the same on this web site. Troops assigned to locations within the United State will not be accepted however (at least at this time).
So, for example, if a Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine wishes to be a contact and is stationed in Germany, Korea, Greenland, etc., they may do so as long as they agree to the terms and conditions of being a 'contact'.
We will discontinue annotating what areas are declared as war zones because it has become impossible to keep up with the changes. Because of this, we strongly suggest you use the search tool to find the troops you wish to support.
Atlanta-area Parents!
From the makers of "Undercover Boss" comes a new series, the "It Takes a Village Project" for The Oprah Winfrey Network-- and we're coming to Atlanta! We are looking for Military families who are facing challenging times with their teenagers.
Many parents suddenly have new problems at home once their kids hit 13… they're new people! And military service presents additional challenges to both them and their wonderful families back home. And we are here to bring help!
"Village" is a positive-change show aimed at helping a family by bringing together neighbors to help one another, and strengthening community. The show will offer common sense solutions for common family problems. Our team has worked on "Super Nanny" and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," and "Village" shares its themes. BUT, the help is in-kind services and support from the neighborhood, fixing and building relationships. Each hour-long episode will feature a family confronting challenges with their teens ... but the show will rally the community to help the family. The help will come from friends, family, neighbors and free services. Do you not know your neighbors? Do you wish you did? "Village" creates a greater sense of community for the whole neighborhood.
Requirements
A family:
a) living in a home, townhouse or duplex
b) with at least one teen in the family
c) other than the teen, there should be at least one more child currently living in the home

Join us June 9th in Ithaca, Michigan for a great day!!
This ride is about 120 beautiful miles with several stops.
Registration is from 11am to 12noon with ride starting promptly at 12:15am at Ithaca Fairgrounds, Michigan
Ride fee is $25 for pre-registration, $30 day of ride.
Ride ends with music, prize drawings, and Dinner available for a donation!
This in an alcohol free ride.
